Heat shrink sleeves are clear plastic bands designed to fit around the opening of a container or, in some cases, wrap entirely around a product. When heat is applied, the material shrinks tightly to conform to the shape of the item, providing a secure tamper-evident seal. Each sleeve includes a perforated tear line that allows for quick, easy removal. Once the band is torn, it cannot be reapplied, offering a clear visual indicator of interference. This simple yet highly effective system helps build customer confidence by ensuring products remain protected and uncompromised.
Please note that the layflat width of the sleeve is not the same as the container’s diameter. To select the correct size for jars or containers, measure the diameter at the widest point, add 1–2 mm for tolerance, then multiply the total by 1.57 to determine the appropriate layflat width. The cut length (CL) represents the height of the sleeve once applied.
Installing heat shrink bands is straightforward. Simply position the band over the cap, lid, or designated sealing area, then apply heat between 80 and 120°C using a heat gun or heat tunnel. As the material reacts to the heat, it uniformly shrinks and forms a secure, tight fit around the container.
