X-Safe Tamper Evident Security Tape is designed to look like conventional packaging tape while providing an additional layer of security against unauthorised opening. Under normal conditions, the tape maintains a clean and professional appearance, making it suitable for use on cartons, boxes and other packaging without significantly changing the look of the package.

When an attempt is made to remove the tape, it clearly displays a VOID message, providing an immediate visual indication that the package may have been opened or tampered with. The security effect is created through a two-layer construction. The tape itself shows the tamper message when peeled, while a secondary layer remains adhered to the carton or packaging, also displaying a VOID message. This provides visible evidence on both the removed tape and the original package surface, making it difficult to remove the tape and reseal the package without detection.

The tape is supplied in a continuous roll format, allowing users to cut or tear the required length for each application. This provides greater flexibility than pre-cut security labels and makes the tape particularly practical for sealing cartons and packages of different sizes. A perforation is provided every 150 mm, allowing the tape to be easily separated by hand at the required length without the need for scissors or a cutting tool.

TOTAL-TRANSFER - where an adhesive layer with a void message is left behind on the surface to show evidence of tampering. The adhesive layer may be cleaned off on some surfaces to allow reuse of the sealed object. The security label also exhibits the void message to prevent the reuse of the label. By leaving a void message on the surface, recipients will know that the object has been accessed and tampered with.
